Agrale is celebrating the mark of 80,000 tractors manufactured. With a history spanning more than 50 years, Agrale launched its operations in 1962 with the production of two-wheel micro-tractors.
According to CEO Hugo Zattera, the number of tractors manufactured over the course of Agrale’s history demonstrates the company’s presence and strength in both the Brazilian and international markets. “Surpassing 80,000 tractors is an important achievement that is closely linked to the development of Brazil’s agricultural sector, especially given the strong focus on small and midsized farmers,” explained Zattera.
Agrale pioneered the development of low-power two- and four-wheel tractors and continually invested heavily in new and sustainable products and technologies that meet the applications demanded by its customers. The manufacturer was also the first to develop biodiesel models, in its 4000 line, as well as tractors powered by alternative energies, becoming one of the few manufacturers in the market to offer LPG models for industrial and logistics applications.
Agrale currently has three different lines – 4000, 5000 and 6000 – with horsepower ranging from 15 to 168 hp to meet the needs of small-scale family farmers to large rural producers. All tractors offer the competitive advantage of robustness, low operating cost and excellent versatility.
Tractor number 80,000 is an Agrale BX 6180, the most powerful model with 168 hp. “The success of the 4000 and 5000 families, which target small and midsized farmers, and of the 6000 family, which is recommended for large farms, has significantly boosted the company's sales revenue, which grew by 14.8% in 2012, outpacing the growth in the overall market of 7.6%,” noted Zattera.
