Agrale, the Brazilian manufacturer of trucks, bus chassis, utility vehicles, tractors and diesel engines, celebrates this month the production of 100,000 vehicles with the Agrale brand. Unit number 100,000 is an MA 10.0 chassis for minibuses equipped with ABS brakes that was acquired by Magnus Isse, a public transportation operator in the city of Porto Alegre and the owner of Viação Nova Geração, Viação Pelicano, Viação Primavera and Expresso Assur, which are transportation companies operating in the city.
According to CEO Hugo Zattera, the large number of vehicles manufactured by Agrale demonstrates its market success in both Brazil and abroad. "For a Brazilian company such as ours, which started making vehicles on a modest scale, reaching the mark of 100,000 vehicles is a very emblematic achievement. From TX 1100, the first truck to be manufactured by Agrale back in 1982, to chassis number 100,000 delivered today, we see today that the dreams of Agrale’s visionary leader Francisco Stedile have become a reality. Mr. Magnus Isse and his companies symbolize all Agrale customers because of the strong partnership relationship we have.”
“It was a pleasant surprise to be the buyer of chassis number 100,000 and gives me a sense of pride, since I have staked my reputation on Agrale for 30 years, having also acquired the first minibus chassis the company ever produced. We now have a fleet of 46 Agrale vehicles, in which we have come to perceive two important characteristics: low maintenance cost and durability. I am very pleased to see Agrale’s growth and to be part of the company’s 50-year history,” commented Mr. Isse.
History marked by robustness and versatility
Agrale launched its operations in 1962 with the production of two-wheel micro-tractors and over these 50 years has become an example of success in the most competitive segments of the automotive industry, with a solid image as a pioneer and innovator with a strong presence in niche markets and solid partnerships.
In 1982, it began manufacturing trucks under the brand, following by bus chassis in 1996 and the Agrale Marruá utility vehicles in 2004. Today, Agrale manufactures modern lines of trucks, bus chassis, utility vehicles, tractors and diesel engines at its four industrial complexes, with three located in Caxias do Sul, a city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, and one in Mercedes, a city in Argentina’s province of Buenos Aires.
