AGRALE UNVEILS ITS AWARD-WINNING FAMILY OF TRUCKS AT FENATRAN 2013
Company’s line of light and medium trucks on display
At the Fenatran 2013 trade show, Agrale is showcasing its line of light and medium trucks, notably the Agrale 10000 and 14000 models. The trucks come with innovative features and a differentiated project design, which also takes into account such aspects as safety, optimization of parts and even the use of new materials and processes, all of which translate into significant improvements for users and fleet owners alike.
One of the features of the trucks is the concept of sustainability and the use of reusable materials. Agrale’s line of trucks is equipped with fenders, bumpers and front cover made of engineering plastic, which results in weight reduction and improved aesthetic finish. Another differential is the idea of building the cabin in the form of independent and interlinked panels, which improves the manufacturing and after-sale processes, and an improvement in the replacement of parts throughout the useful life of the product.
The Agrale 10000 truck offers better performance in both urban and rural settings in the form of savings, reduced emission of pollutants and low maintenance costs. It also comes with an extended cabin, which provides comfort in a wide range of applications. The truck, which is recommended for various types of transport in urban and intercity zones, is equipped with a MWM 165 hp engine at 600 Nm of torque and a five-speed Eaton transmission system. The model is available in two wheelbase options – 3,750 mm and 4,350 mm, and payload capacity of up to 6,260 kg.
Agrale 14000 is the company’s model for the medium truck segment. With a 190 hp MWM turbo engine at 720 Nm of torque, it has a six-speed Eaton mechanical transmission, dual speed driveshaft, and comes with two wheelbase options in the 4x2 version (3,560 mm and 4,800 mm), with payload capacity of up to 8,860 kg. The 6x2 version comes with two more wheelbase options (4,784 mm and 6,024 mm), with a payload capacity of up to 15,620 kg.
The bold cabin design of Agrale trucks has, over the past two years, received several top international awards such as the iF Design Award (Europe), the IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards), in the United States and Brazil; Design MCB Award from the Museu da Casa Brasileira, and the Ouro IDEA/Brasil Award, in the Transport category.
AGRALE SHOWCASES 4x4 MILITARY TRUCK AND DEMO CABIN
Truck was designed for the Brazilian armed forces. Demo cabin highlights strength and safety of the brand’s models
A military vehicle and a demo cabin to highlight its features are the showpieces at Agrale’s stand in the Fenatran 2013 trade show. The military vehicle is the Agrale Marruá AM 41 – VTNE 2 ½ ton 4X4 truck specially developed for the Brazilian armed forces, and the demo cabin serves to highlight such features as safety, strength and modern technology, as well as high comfort and safety standards, and the engineering processes that went into the product.
The new Marruá AM 41 was designed to meet the military’s needs to transport equipment, cargo and personnel on any terrain – with total capacity of 5,000 kg (cargo + trailer). Among the vehicle’s features are an ample suspension travel, cabin space, the 165 hp MWM engine and the dual speed transfer case that is controlled from the dashboard.
Apart from the new model, Agrale will also feature a demo cabin for its truck line to publicize the concepts applied in designing the product, which combines a striking and bold look, and a spacious, ergonomic and comfortable cabin, and which places a premium on safety and internal space. According to Alvonir Anderle, Director of Vehicle Sales at Agrale, one of the key differentials of the brand’s truck line is the cabin, developed with the most modern programs and processes that is still little known to users.
“When we decided to design a new cabin for the trucks, we went after the most advanced technology and assembling processes. The result was a very strong, spacious, safe and resilient cabin with high comfort and ergonomics standards. What happens is these important features are not always perceived by consumers. That is why we built a demo cabin to show its structure and all these benefits”, he added.
The cabin body is built of highly resistant steel, which is stronger than the conventional cabin built from stamped plates, and is coated with resin injected through the Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) process, which makes it stronger and more resistant, besides eliminating the problem of corrosion. “This guarantees a high level of safety for vehicle occupants in case of impact”, explains Alvonir.
