Agrale received yesterday, June 9, the RS Export Award, given annually by the Brazilian Association of Marketing and Sales Managers (ADVB/RS) in the Outstanding Market Performance category, which honors companies in Rio Grande do Sul state that stand out in brand consolidation, management of distribution channels and exports. The award was handed over at a ceremony held at the Bourbon Country Theater in Porto Alegre.

The award recognizes Agrale’s performance not just in 2013 but over the past few years, since the company always believed that a presence in the export market is important for perpetuating and consolidating the brand. That is why it maintains its focus on developing and cementing its presence in the export market through exports and by consolidating its international network of dealers, distributors and sales representatives.

Today, its Argentina operation, with a plant located in the city of Mercedes, Province of Buenos Aires, locally manufactures trucks, bus chassis and tractors. The brand enjoys a significant presence in the Argentine market, where it is one of the leading bus manufacturers.

Its presence in Latin America is marked by exports of utility and military vehicles to various counties and bus chassis to markets such as Colombia, which has one of the most modern urban public transportation systems in the world. Agrale has also been doing business regularly with other countries in Africa and the Middle East, and continuously strives to increase its competitive strength and develop differentiated solutions based on the specific needs of certain countries.

One indicator of the growth in exports is the recent agreement for the sale of tractors, signed between Brazil and Zimbabwe through the Mais Alimentos Internacional program. With this agreement, the Rio Grande do Sul-based Agrale becomes the first Brazilian company to sign a commercial deal under the international edition of the program.
